Lighting and Staging an Interview

COMPOSITION TIPS:
  • The rule of thirds - thirds horizontally and vertically; intersections is the focus.
  • 180 degree Rule - put a camera around THE line. 
  • Interview Tips - no harsh light; defusion to soften the light; kinds tubes if you want to spend some money; composition and framing (mise en scène): nose room, head room, don not let your subject break the frame with their hands, background.
  • Basic Three-light Interview - key light (brightest line on the frame), fill light (lower side), back/head light (down from above).
